Find the Sunglasses for You

Hello everyone!

Summer is a dream that is running through all of our heads right now.  With this magnificent season approaching, beach and pool days are in the near future.  I wanted to show several styles of sunglasses to help you get thinking about what accessory will best complement you this season.  I will show several of the popular sunglass options, but I want you to keep in mind that these options shown are not all that exist so keep your eyes open.

When choosing a color for your sunglasses it is always fun to mix it up with a crazy color.  When choosing between gold or silver though, one color often complements your skin tone more than the other.  Often gold complements people with the warmer skin tones while silver complements others with cooler skin tones.

When choosing a size, it is also recommended that you choose a pair that fits you face.  People with larger faces can pull off more of the big style sunglasses, whereas others with slim faces look best in the more regular/smaller sized sunglasses.

Here are the basic styles:

Tortoise AmberTortoise SmokeGoldGold Gradient

Black Gold

Gold AmberTortoise

All of these sunglasses came from shopzerouv.com along with many more unique and fun styles.

I hope at least one of these styles peaked your interest so you can go out and look for some sunglasses that will be of good use this summer season.  I want to reiterate that these are the simple, classic styles.  I wanted to show all the classic styles so if you find a structure that you adore, you can then go to the next step and look for specific colors and patterns.

Thank you for reading and I would love if you would tell me your favorite sunglasses in the comments below.

Out With The Old and In With The New!

Happy New Year everyone!

With the holidays passing I am positive that everyone is showing off their new clothes and accessories they got.  With this new wave of clothing, everyone's new year resolution should be to go through their clothes.  I know this resolution might sound time consuming and difficult, but it is extremely worth it if you want an organized and functional closet to display all your new clothes!

I will be providing some tips on how you can organize and go through those piles of clothes.
     http://blog.clothingpickuptexas.com/clean-your-closet-do-a-good-deed/
Try everything on:
It is easy to think one's favorite t-shirt still fits but it is very beneficial to try on the majority of their clothing items on in front of a mirror to help decide what they should really keep or not.

If you haven't worn it in over a year, toss it:
Many people cling to clothing items for no reason at all.  If one wants their closet to be flawless, they have to be brutal and realize that they must get rid of it if they have not worn it in a long time.

Divide your clothes into YES, NO and MAYBE piles:
A great way to sort through your clothes is to make piles of the for sure yes and no's.  The maybe pile can pose a problem though because it is usually the biggest.  Instead of throwing your whole maybe clothes pile into the yes or no section, divide half of it up.  By dividing half of it among the yes and no groups, you are able to still keep some maybe clothes without throwing them all away.

Organize your clothes by warmth and color:
By organizing your clothes in your closet by warmth and color, you will be able to see all your clothes easier and locate the section best for the weather faster.  Put your tanks at one end and color coordinate them by the rainbow, then add your t-shirts after them and color coordinate them, and so on and so forth.

Donate all the clothes that are leaving your closet:
Once it is decided which clothes are being kept and which ones are being discarded, donate the ones that are being thrown away.  What no longer fits or follow the latest trends could be exactly what someone else needs so give back and donate the clothes that would be going to the trash.

Thank you for reading and I hope these tips benefit everyone's resolution to go through their clothes and clean out their closet.  I would love to hear what you have to say so comment below if these tips helped you or if you have any additional tips to add.

Welcome Back!  It has been about five months since I last posted on my blog.  In those five months, many things have changed.  The seasons have changed since I last posted going from sunny spring weather to nearing into brisk fall weather.  Not only the seasons have changed, but the style of clothing has also changed.  During our summer season, high-wasted shorts and crops tops were a popular hit.  Now fall is nearing and we will be able to live in the moment of new fall styles.

Just to reiterate, the purpose of my blog is to put forth my opinion of fashion and widen people's ideas of how they could dress.  My blog is an outlet for you for try new things and mix things up in your wardrobe with some of the ideas I blog.  Fashion has always been an interest of mine and I have been able to express my ideas and style through this blog. I always love to hear what you have to say so feel free to leave me ideas or comments below.

I will now be posting more frequently so keep your eyes peeled for a new post!  I look forward to continuing blogging about Fashion.  Also a new trend I am going to keep up with is including fashion quotes in all of my posts to help inspire.  Here is the first one, which will b followed by many more in my future posts:

Spring Shoes Have Sprung Upon Us!

Hello there!  It seems that the last time we talked it was winter... but now spring has finally hit!  Spring is one of my most favorite seasons because it is both hot with occasional showers which allows you to wear a variety of outfits. For the majority of my blog posts, I have mainly focused on outfits or clothing items.  In this post I want to focus on the perfect shoes to wear with your spring time outfits!

Sandals - To kick spring off, a pair of sandals is an essential!  With these sandals you can basically wear any outfit.  Sandals look so cute and classy with not only skirts and dresses but also capris and shorts!  I recommended a neutral, either black or nude sandal so you can wear it with a variety of outfits.  If you already have a basic colored sandal then get a pair with jewels, or patterns, or a crazy color is super fun too!  The possibilities are endless, so you will not go wrong when choosing to buy sandals for springtime!

Ballet Flats - Ballet flats are yet another spring shoe essential.  When the weather is warm and your toenails are not painted you are not going to wear sandals, so wear flats!  Flats look professional but fun at the same time.  You could wear flats with that flowy spring flower dress you have picked out for tomorrow.  If you have a presentation the next day for school, flats add that professional class to your outfit.  Just like sandals, it is great to always have a neutral shade of flats if you plan on wearing them with lots of outfits.  I would also recommend investing in some fun colorful flats for your simpler spring outfits.

Flip-flops - Another great spring shoe to buy are flip-flops.  I'm not talking about your rubbery five  dollar ones but the nice leather ones that can dress up or down your outfits.  I have always loved the look of classy leather flip-flops with jeans or dresses and this spring season is the perfect time to invest in some.  When you are wearing that cute spring dress with a jean jacket and you feel a little too dressy for your comfort zone, add a pair of leather flip-flops that will slightly dress down your outfit but still look nice.

Toms - I absolutely love the brand Toms for spring!  These shoes are like a comfy ballet flat and go great with any outfit of choice.  What I love about this brand is there are so many great patterns to choose from that it is almost overwhelming.  Yet again, Toms look great with any outfit and give your outfit a unique pattern.  Here is the link to the Toms website so you can buy some! Here is the Link : Toms

Wedges - Another great shoe to have for special spring occasions are wedges.  They are a great shoe to wear to spring time parties because they are less dressy then heels, but they are still dressy enough to wear to a special occasion.  I recommend again buying nude wedges so you can wear them with any outfit you choose.

Rain-boots - Lastly another fun shoe to have for spring time is a pair of rain-boots.  In spring we get those occasional showers and rain-boots are the great alternate to wearing your old sneakers.  Rain-boots again come in so many fun colors and patterns that your shoes will brighten any rainy day.  You can never go wrong with polka dot rain-boots.  I would explore all the shop's collections of rain-boots to find the pattern that would best express you and fit your style.

I want to thank all my readers for reading!  Spring is a great season to start fresh and be daring with your outfits.  People are not going to remember your style for that one bad outfit you wore, they are going to think of you as the girl who can pull anything off.  I want to challenge you to take new fashion risks and a simple step to that is maybe buying some cray patterned sandals!

Please comment below your favorite spring shoe you saw here or one of your own favorites!

My Thoughts On The Blog: Glitter Guide

Hello Fashionistas!  Today I wanted to share with you my thoughts and ideas on the fashion and makeup site, Glitter Guide

I originally found Glitter Guide last year when I was looking for outfit ideas and I immediately fell in love with it.  I have trouble picking out the prefect outfit for certain occasions and I sometimes just run out of style ideas but once I found Glitter Guide, I never had that problem again.  They have so many different fashion sections and posts that I immediately went to the store and looked for similar clothes to my favorite outfits I spotted on Glitter Guide.  They always produce pieces with great style.  The great thing about this site is that they have everything you are looking for!

Under their fashion portion they have all sorts of great sections to explore.  For example, they have a seasonal fashion section which is the perfect way to look at new ideas for the weather wherever you are.   They also have this whole section on different styles of famous people to watch out for.  I love this section because I can look at the amazing outfits famous stars are wearing and I can re-create them with my own wardrobe.

Not only they have outfits for any occasion, they also always have perfect pictures to go with their post.  Every post has a perfect model, modeling the outfits they are talking about.  I adore how they always have pictures of models in the outfits rather than just the clothes because it really shows you how the outfit looks on a person.

Here is an image of one of my favorite posts under the Style File section called Slouchy sweaters:

My other favorite section Glitter Guide includes is trends.  They produce posts on the hottest trends and inspires me to try recreating the style and outfits they have produced.  This allows you to keep up on all the different styles and trends going on around you.

Lastly, they have a whole section on shopping.  From the must haves, to the shopping guide, you will never run out of outfit or clothing ideas to but if you look at the Glitter Guide.  Whenever I am looking for a new shirt or skirt to change up my wardrobe, I will look at the shopping section under Glitter Guide to help me find the perfect buy.

Thank you for reading!  Please go and check out Glitter Guide because it is truly amazing!

New Year's Fashion Resolutions

Happy New Year Fahsionistas! 2013 was a great year of fashion but 2014 is going to hold even better creations.  Now that it is a new year, it is your chance to change your style! I have created some new year's resolutions and I hope they inspire you to try new things!

Mix Patterns - New Year, means bigger risks. I have always loved when people mix patterns but I have never been daring enough to do it myself.  I have decided that 2014 is the year I will start mixing things up! What I have paired below is a navy and crème striped skirt along with grey and crème polka dot socks and some cute brown booties.

Bolder Colors - Some of my favorite colors to wear are blue and grey.  In order to broaden my style, I wanted to mix it up with some bright pieces.  Whether it is just a bright scarf or a bright shirt it is my resolution to mix things up so it does not look like I am always wearing the same thing.  In the images below, I am modeling a bright sweater and a bright tank top.  This shows that no matter what the season, I will be able to accomplish my resolutions.

Wear More Skirts -  I love the look of a cute flowy skirt but whenever I put it on, I just end up putting on some jeans.  I want to step out of the jeans comfort zone and go daring with some more skirts.  Below I am wearing a flowy polka dot skirt along with some sandals.  If your resolution is to wear more skirts too and the climate in your area is cold, wear some leggings under and some boots.

Patterns - Similar to my skirt resolution, I always result to wearing jeans instead of patterned pants or leggings.  This resolution not only goes for bottoms but for tops too.  I always lean towards the simple plain shirts but this is a new year and I want to experiment with all sorts of crazy and unique patterns.  In the image below I am wearing some cute elephant print leggings with some brown boots.

Bolder Jewelry - In order to also jazz my 2014 outfits up, I want to experiment with bolder jewelry.  I have seen these big flower necklaces that look gorgeous with any simple shirt.  I want to get bolder necklaces and even though it is a new year, that does not mean you need to totally wipe out your closet.  That is why my resolution is to buy bolder necklaces, so they can go with a lot of the simple shirts I have.  A bold necklace is also a great accessorize to change your outfit from day to night.

Do NOT Result To A Hoodie -  Hoodies are a comfy solution but they do not look put together.  I am all for dressing comfy but there are other items like sweaters you could wear instead of a hoodie.  Over the past few years I have worn hoodies when I am running late or it is cold.  My resolution is to buy jackets I can wear over my sweaters, so if I have alternate options, I will not result to wearing a hoodie.

Donate - I am guilty of hoarding clothes I will never wear.  My 2014 resolution is to clean out anything I know for a fact I will no longer wear.  There are many people in need of lots of things and clothing is one of them.  I have thick and thin items I am never going to wear again just sitting in my closet.  2014 is the year I am going to get rid of anything I will not wear and donate it to the people in need.

Quality Over Quantity - Don't you just love when you find a great sale? I know I do.  Another one of my resolutions is to no longer buy things on good deals if I know I'm not going to wear it.  Some people say, "It was such a good deal, I just had to buy it".  Even though you are getting the shirt for a better price, if you know you are never going to wear it you shouldn't buy it.  Instead of buying two shirts for a really good deal that you might not ever wear, get the one shirt you really love that is the same price.  If I love a shirt but it is the same price as two "maybe" shirts, I from now on am going to get the one shirt because I will end up saving your money in the end because you would get more uses out of that one shirt you really love.

Thank you for reading about my New Year's fashion resolutions.  Most of my resolutions relate back to the idea to experiment with different styles and  take risks.  By taking these different fashion risks is how you discover your true style sense because you are not afraid to wear anything.

I hope this post influences you to make some of your own resolutions or do some of my resolutions with me.  Let me know what your resolutions are by commenting below!
