Thanksgiving Day Outfit Ideas

Hello Everyone!

Turkey day is almost here!  Whether you want to impress your relatives with your style or dress comfy for a feast, this post with provide outfits that you can wear out to dinner or at your home.  Each outfit I modeled from my closet with affordable clothes so if you like what you see, the brands of the clothing I wore will be listed at the bottom!

Dress Outfit  - The first outfit is a simple elegant crème dress with a slim belt around the waist.  The great thing about this dress is you can dress it up or down and still look classy.  You can pair this dress with some tope heels or if you want to dress warmer, you could add some tights and boots, and still look great.  If you want to continue the simple look, add a pair of diamonds to add a little sparkle without adding a huge earring.

Skirt Outfit - These next two outfit choices are perfect if you want to look nice but not get too fancy.  The sweater and striped skirt is a cozy and stylish outfit and the tan boots are the perfect autumn  touch.  The sweater will keep you really warm and the skirt dresses up the outfit.  The maxi skirt and the tan tank top along with the jean jacket will also keep you very warm.  If you don't like to show your legs, the maxi skirt option is the perfect one for you.  The sandals go with the tank top very nicely and it gives the outfit that casual feel, but still very chic! If you love one of these skirt outfits, but you want to dress a little more fancy then boots, feel free to add the heels!  That way you are dressy but  not as dressy as the first outfit.

Maxi Skirt Outfit:

Jean Outfit - If you want to be casual and stylish, this out fit will work best.  The cranberry shirt is the perfect autumn color and the scarf adds a little pop of crème to the outfit.  The tan and black shirt fills the Thanksgiving color scheme perfectly too!  These two  outfits provide away to dress the jean outfit up or down.  If you want to look a little more fancy but still wear jeans, go with the cranberry shirt outfit because the heels add that fancy touch.  If you want to wear jeans but not heels, go with the boots outfit because you still look great and your feet don't hurt!

Legging Outfit - If you want to get really casual and cozy, this outfit will fit those standards.  This sweater is so comfortable and warm, this is the best outfit to wear if you are just hanging out.  The tan boots really pop from the black sweater and leggings which provides diversity in your outfit.

Thank you for reading everyone!  I hope this post inspired you to replicate some of my outfit ideas with your clothes on thanksgiving.  Remember to be creative with your outfits and think outside the box.  After reading my posts maybe you liked one piece of one outfit and another from another one, so add them together!  Share a picture of  your combination of two of these outfits or a replica of one of my outfits but with clothes from your wardrobe below.

Ten Ways to Tie a Scarf

Today's topic is scarves.  During autumn, scarves are a warm and cozy essential that adds color to any outfit.  Many people tie their scarves the same way every time they wear one, so I wanted to show my viewers that there are many different ways to tie scarves!  Here are some of my favorite ways to tie, modeled by my sister, Maiah Rowe.

#1 - The Casual
How to- Simply put it around your neck!  This is one of the most common ways to tie a scarf.  If you are running late and need to get to school, grab a scarf and throw it around your neck.  The scarf will keep you warm and add style!

#2 - The Double Knot
How to-  Take each end and tie them in a knot  This is a great way to shorten your scarf if you feel like it is too long.  This is the perfect way to add texture to your scarf!

 #3 - The Wrap
How to- Begin with the scarf around your neck, like in the casual image, then take on side of the scarf ad put it in front of your neck, then behind your neck.  The wrap is another common way to tie your scarf.  This is the perfect way to tie your scarf if you get really cold because with it wrapped in front an behind your neck, you get that extra warmth!

#4 - The Shall
How to- Simply drape across your back and hold it where your arm bends.  This works great with a dress!  Let's say you have a really cute autumn dress but its not quite cold enough to wear a jacket, wear the scarf as a shall.  It will provide that warmth on your arms that you were looking for.

#5 - The Loop
How to- Begin by folding the scarf in half.  Then put it behind your neck and take the side with the ends, and put it through the loop.  This way to tie your scarf works perfect if you like everything tight and together.  Maybe you don't usually wear scarfs because they blow everywhere and that bugs you.  This is the prefect way to keep your neck cozy and wear that scarf you love!

#6 - The circle
How to- Tie both the ends of your scarf together, then twist your circle once, and put it over your head.  This is another great tie if you like everything tight and together!  This provides a non-droopy way for you to wear your scarf!  This way to tie your scarf looks great with a leather jacket!

#7 - The Bow
How to-  Simply tie the scarf how you would ties your shoelaces!  Bows are very popular right now and the look even cuter on your scarf!  Tying your scarf this way adds a little prep to your outfit.

#8 - The Double Over the Shoulder
How to- Overlap both sides of the scarf in front of you, then put the ends over your shoulders.  This is a perfect way to tie your scarf if you want to keep your neck warm but you don't want the ends dangling in front of you.

#9 - The Tie
How to-  Tie the scarf like you would when you begin to tie your shoelaces, then tighten it.  This way of tying a scarf looks great with a jean jacket!

#10 - The One Over the Shoulder
How to- Tie the scarf like you would tie your shoelaces in the beginning, then let one side of the scarf fall over your shoulder.  This way of tying your scarf adds that Boho-chic look everyone adds!  This way to tie your scarf looks great with a simple top and some boots!

I hope you enjoyed learning about different ways on how to tie a scarf!  Always remember to be creative with your fashion!  Feel free to mix and math the different styles I gave you.   Try mixing the knot tie and the wrap tie to mix it up even more!  Comment below on your favorite way to tie a scarf.  Thank you for reading!

Top Ten Autumn Essentials

Welcome to Everyday Fashion Advice!

The purpose of this blog is to provide fashion tips and inform everyone on the latest trends!  These trends will be clothing  items that you can wear on a daily basis.

The topic today is autumn wear.  Summer is fading away and now the Fall trends are arriving.  Here are my top ten favorite fall trends :

Oversized : Sweaters and sweatshirts that are too big are a necessity for your fall wardrobe.  They are not only comfortable but you can also dress them up or down.  For example you could pair an oversized cardigan with a pencil skirt, tights, and some boots.  You could also wear an oversized sweatshirt with your favorite pair of jeans!

Knit Beanies : Beanies not only help your head stay warm but they are a statement!  Beanies make a great pop of color or they also hide that bad hair day you are having.  You can wear these beanies with dresses or jeans!

Emerald Green : This shade of green gives every outfit that earthy feel.  Since this green is a neutral color, you can use it as a base and mix it with lots of other colors!  For example you could match and emerald green coat with a light pink top or you could throw on those emerald green pants with a turquoise top.

Leather : This form of material will help you rock any outfit.  Leather is a great texture to add weather its on your combat boots, your jacket, or your skirt.  Leather is a great autumn tool because it comes in all sorts of forms! The most popular leather forms are combat boots, jackets, and skirts.

Pencil Skirts : These skirts are perfect for autumn!  They are tight and go perfect with leggings and combat boots.  Weather the skirt is patterned or solid, it is definitely a popular pick!

Combat Boots : These boots are a perfect solution to warm feet during the autumn season.  They add a kick to whatever outfit you are rocking!  Combat boots look great when they are paired with a high sock with leggings or some ripped jeans.

Jean Jackets : Jean jackets are a favorite of mine!  They go well with anything you wear them with.  I recommend wearing jean jackets with a skirt or colored pants.  Jean jackets also look great accompanied by a scarf, plus the jacket helps keep you warm!

Patterns : Patterns add excitement to your outfit!  Patterns are a great asset to your fall closet weather its a striped skirt, or a polkadot shirt.  Experiment to find out which patterns look best on you!

Scarves : Weather your scarf is an infinity style or regular, they are a necessity for all your looks!  Scarfs not only add warmth but they can add color and texture to your look.  For example if you are wear mostly neutrals, a plaid colorful scarf would be a great addition!

Studs : Studs can be added to any and all clothing items!  Studded sweaters, shoes, and jackets are the most popular.  Studs can be flat or pointy but they are a shiny accent on clothes that is very stylish and popular.  Studs are a great way to add some shine to your outfit!
